Happy Memorial Day!

Memorial Day is supposed to mark the unofficial start to Summer! What better way to spend the day than in the pool! Everyone came over for a Memorial day cookout and family fun today! I showed off my love of swimming to everyone! Daddy took out all our fun pool toys today! I enjoyed floating on the raft and I had fun swimming by "meself" with the help of my floaties. In just three days I have gained a lot of confidence in the water and I let go of Mommy's hands today while we were swimming. Mommy was very proud. I start swim class in a week and I am ready for it! Swimming made me hungry and I really enjoyed eating yummy food afterwards! What a fun filled family day! I can't wait to swim again! Enjoy our photos!
Just floating along (I have new floaties on, but you won't see them on very long because they are still a little too big)

Cooking with Daddy

Daddy and I had a date night tonight and we started our date by cooking dinner together. We made pigs in a blanket together. I had fun rolling the dough around the hot dog. We had some extra dough left over and made a Mickey Mouse shaped croissant:). After we ate our yummy and fun dinner, we watched Lilo and Stitch! I watched the whole movie and loved it! I asked Daddy if we can watch it again tomorrow. I love date nights with Daddy! Thanks for the fun times Daddy!

Happy Birthday Nana and Nina Nina Dia!

A VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHOUT OUT TO MY NANA AND MY NINA NINA DIA! We love you both very much and hope you have a fabulous day and wonderful year! We celebrated all day today doing whatever my Nana and Nina Nina Dia wanted to do. Daddy cooked a yummy breakfast to start off their birthday celebration. After breakfast we played and watched some softball. Daddy and I did some yard work together and then decided to cool off by taking our first swim of the season. I ran inside with just my diaper on telling Nana, Nina Nina Dia, and Mommy to come on to see me swim. Later on, Mommy put my swimsuit on. Daddy and I had fun in the water! I am going to be a water bug like Mommy when she was little! After our swim, I fell fast asleep and took a great nap! Nana, Nina Nina Dia, Mommy, Uncle Paul, and Grandpa watched the UA softball team beat BYU, sending them to the softball world series. Daddy went to Phoenix to watch two of his players play in an All-Star basketball game! After the softball game, we ate a yummy dinner from Texas Roadhouse, took our daily family walk, watched the Suns/Lakers game, and of course had some birthday cake. I had a great day hanging out and playing with Nana and Nina Nina Dia all day! I know they enjoyed just relaxing and having nothing that they had to do! Happy Birthday again to Nana and Nina Nina Dia! Love you lots! Enjoy the photos from our day!

First Swim of the Summer Videos

Below are short video clips of my first swim of the Summer with Daddy. After helping Daddy outside with yardwork, I was ready to cool off. I couldn't wait for a swim suit and wanted to swim with just my diaper on. Mommy brought out my swimsuit for me, but I swam in just my diaper first! I loved being in the pool today and didn't want to get out! The third video is of Daddy and me having fun in the sprinkler! I took a great nap after all of this fun in the water and sun! Enjoy the videos!

1st day of Summer

Today Mommy and Daddy were both home! Today is Mommy's first day of Summer. Daddy's first day of Summer was last Friday! We had a great day! I helped Nana take G.G. to the gym and then we all went to lunch! After my nap, Nana came over for dinner since Poppy is out of town. Mommy wasn't feeling too well so we laid low at home. Later in the evening Uncle Paul and Nina Nina Dia came over and we all played cards! I loved having everyone over to play cards! I know that I am going to enjoy having Mommy and Daddy home more during the Summer! Enjoy the photos from our first day!
All dressed in red, white, and blue for Memorial Weekend! I couldn't smile becuase I had too many fruit snacks in my mouth:)

Happy 4th Anniversary Mommy and Daddy!

Four years ago today Mommy and Daddy got married! I wasn't there, but they tell me it was a perfect day! We went to Macaroni Grill tonight to celebrate. My gift to Mommy and Daddy was my exceptional behavior in the restaurant! I never asked to get out of our booth and walk or run around. I loved talking with our waitress. I even asked her if the cooks had "rats in hats" like in the movie Ratatouille. She told me no, but there happens to be a chef at Macaroni Grill who looks like the red headed chef in the movie. I really had fun drawing on the table while waiting for our dinner. Happy Anniversary Mommy and Daddy! Enjoy the photos from our family dinner date!

How many Mega Blocks does it take?

How many Mega Blocks does it take to measure up to me? This was the question that we explored tonight. Mommy and I built a tower with my Mega Blocks to see how many it would take to make a tower as tall as me. I liked the part of standing next to the tower to see if I was taller. I like stacking the blocks and creating towers. There is never a dull moment in our house and Mommy enjoys capturing them! Enjoy some photos from our fun adventure tonight!

Moving closer to the tower to compare heights

If you look closely you'll see that I am still a little taller than our tower so we need to add more blocks

Daddy captured this silly look I gave as I walked away to get some more blocks for our tower after measuring and finding out that I was taller.

Climbing to new places

I don't let the height of a chair, cabinet, or wall frighten me. I love to climb. Today while Nana was changing Allison's diaper she turned to see me sitting on top of my toy chest. Nana quickly grabbed the camera while she asked me if I was supposed to be sitting up there. I told her no and then started to climb down. Nana didn't get a picture of me sitting on the top, but she did snap photos of how I carefully got down. Later in the day, I climbed up on the top again to show Mommy. Nana and Mommy hope this is just a temporary climbing adventure! Enjoy the photos!

Backing down off of something is the safest way

Holding on to the toy chest to brace myself while I try to get down

No worries Nana, I made it down safe!

Movie date with Mommy and Daddy

Mommy and Daddy took me to see Shrek Forever After today. This is the second movie I've seen in the theater. I wanted to take my baby with me to the movie, with her stroller of course:). Mommy promised me yummy snacks if I behaved. I loved watching the movie. Mommy thinks that 20 minutes of previews is a little too much, but I didn't seem to mind. I laughed at Shrek and Donkey. I fell asleep for the last 15 minutes of the movie, but I was great throughout the entire movie. I loved snacking on popcorn and my fruit snacks. After our movie date, we went shopping for a little while. What a fun Sunday afternoon with Mommy and Daddy! I have been talking about the movie ever since. If you ask me what movie we saw, my answer is, "Schrack!" Enjoy the photos from today!

I was taking pictures again and took a picture of my view from where I sit in Daddy's truck.

This is a blurry picture, but it is an action shot of me clapping and showing excitement as the previews were about to begin.

It's hard to smile for a picture with a mouth full of popcorn!
