Happy Halloween!

I had quite a busy day on my 1st Halloween! I started my day by visiting my Uncle Kenny at work. I then went trick-or-treating at Mommy's work and had lunch with Daddy. My trick-or-treating continued as I made stops at my Nina Nina's, my Great Grandma's, my Nino Joe and Nina Karen's, my Nina Nina Dia's, and my Nana's. It was fun trick-or-treating, but my costume was warm at times. I got good at putting on and taking off my costume by the end of the night. Mommy says she can't remember when it has been so hot on Halloween. I think the temp hit 90+ today. When we got home, I helped pass out candy to the trick-or-treaters that came to our house. I liked emptying my treat bag. Most of my treats were books, which I love! I did get some teething cookies and I tried one for the first time. I liked the cookie! Mommy and Daddy think I will sleep good tonight after such a busy day. Enjoy the pictures from my busy 1st Halloween!

All Hallows Eve

Tomorrow is Halloween, but Mommy has been dressing me in some cute Halloween clothing for the past few weeks. Tonight's oufit was too cute for Mommy not to take pictures. You can't read my shirt that well, but it says "Daddy's under my spell." I wore this when I went to watch Daddy play a basketball game tonight. Mommy can't wait to dress me up tomorrow!

Easy listening

I love my new musical toy that my Aunt Barbara from Cumberland,MD sent me. Mommy and Daddy love it too because it seems to put me to sleep quite easily. I can play classical music, nature sounds, nursery rhymes, sing-a-long songs, and lullabies with my new toy. Today my Nina Nina Dia and I were playing with it and you can see in the picture below what easy listening music does to me. Thanks Aunt Barbara!

Carving Pumpkins is.......

messy and fun! I had a great time helping carve pumpkins tonight. I liked the feeling of the pumpkin guts in my hands. Thanks to Aunt Stacie, my Tigger pumpkin came out great! Uncle Paul helped my Grandpa Corkey carve his pumpkin and my Daddy carved a funny face on his pumpkin. Mommy was in charge of cleaning out the pumpkins, a little carving, and making sure I was clean:). Thanks to Nana and Nina Nina Dia for supervising and helping keep me entertained while the carving took place. I can't wait until next year when I can help even more! Below are some pictures from a fun and messy evening!

Mommy and Daddy's little trooper

I had surgery today to remove my ear tags on my left ear. This meant that I could have nothing to eat after 3 this morning and nothing to drink after 7am. Mommy and Daddy were nervous wondering if I would wake up hungry this morning and they wouldn't be able to give me anything. Well, so far I have proven that I am a champ! Mommy and Daddy woke me up at 2:30 this morning to feed me so that I would hopefully not wake up hungry. I ate and went right back to sleep until about 6:45. Mommy and Daddy did all they could to distract me from wanting to eat. Luckily, I was very playful and didn't show any hunger signs. On the way to the hospital, Mommy thought I would get hungry, but I again proved her wrong. I had to wait with Mommy and Daddy for a little over an hour in the little patient room, but I was perfect! I smiled with all the nurses, played with a TMC turtle that the nurses gave me, read a book, and even took a little nap. I never once cried. When it was time for the nurses to take me, Mommy and Daddy gave me a big kiss and I went right along with the nurses. Mommy cried a little, but smiled when she saw that I was laughing with the nurses as they walked away with me. Approximately 45 minutes later, the doctor came out to tell Mommy and Daddy how well the surgery went. I don't even have stitches. I have a little butterfly bandage where they cut off the ear tags. The doctor said that I would probably be a little fussy while in recovery and it could last for 15-20 minutes, but I again proved them wrong. When Mommy and Daddy were able to see me I was smiling and quite alert. I cried very little, drank some water, and was ready to be on my way home. Mommy dressed me in a cute pink outfit with a matching bow and I went out into the lobby smiling! On the way home I didn't fuss at all. I have been playful since I have been home. Mommy and Daddy know that the numbness might wear off, but they have some medicine if that happens! Today was a big day for me, but Mommy and Daddy are proud of their little trooper!
This hat is funny!

Owners' Breakfast

If you have kept up with my blog, then you should remember that I have a fantasy football team that Mommy helps run. Last year, a tradition was started that if Mommy's team won, the owner of the losing team had to buy breakfast. We have continued that tradition this year, but unfortunately Mommy and I had to treat Marty to breakfast because his team beat us in last week's game. We went to Toni's and had some yummy food. I didn't eat, but I had fun playing with my toys while sitting in the high chair. Marty held me part of the time and taught me how to hit the table to make noise. Since them, I try banging my hands on objects to see if they will make noise. Thanks Marty for teaching me this trick! This week my fantasy team plays Daddy's team. Mommy is hoping that we win so Daddy will treat us to breakfast next weekend!

Happy UofA Homecoming

I went to UofA homecoming festivities today! This included a tailgate party and my first parade! I loved seeing and watching all the people. While waiting for the parade I even met Miss Amy's brother and family. I liked watching the parade, but the band was a little loud for my little ears. I had so much fun. I let everyone at the tailgate hold me without any fussing. I even took a nap with all the noise. I am becoming an official tailgater!

This chair is just my size! (Mommy needs to get one)

I love playing with the balloons!

Fun with Aunt Stacie

Friday night dinners

Mommy and Daddy like to have dinner out on Fridays and I often am with them. I get to go because I behave very well. Tonight we went to Texas Roadhouse. Daddy decided to let me play with the famous sweet bread. I played with it like play-doh. I like smashing it and trying to pull it apart. In a few years, I might like eating it, but for now it sure is a fun thing to play with.

Friendly ghosts

On our way home from the park, we stopped to say hi to Nana and Papa. Papa took me to meet the friendly ghosts in his front yard. I just stared as they moved up and down. I got pretty close and didn't get scared. Nana and Papa said they were friendly ghosts playing peek-a-boo with me.

Fun at the park

Mommy and Daddy were both home from work at the same time today. They decided to take me to the park and introduce me to the fun outdoors. I really enjoyed the swing. I think it was feeling the breeze through my hair that was fun. I never stopped smiling while swinging. I liked when Mommy and Daddy would push me. I even got the swing to move all by myself by moving my body forwards and backwards. Mommy and Daddy did have to tell me a few times not to try and put the chain in my mouth. After swinging I went down the slide with Daddy a few times. I really didn't make any expressions while sliding down the slide, but I smiled when afterwards I got to swing again. I can't wait to go back to the park!
