Breakfast of Champions

You might be wondering what champions do the day after they win the BIG game. Well in our house, we had the breakfast of champions and watched the game to relive yesterday. Nina Nina Dia called this morning singing, "we are the champions..." and said we needed to go to breakfast. Daddy and I were still sleeping so Mommy suggested we have breakfast at our house. Nana and Poppy brought over the champagne for mimosas and Daddy cooked chorizo and eggs for us to eat. I loved eating breakfast while being able to see my reflection in the basketball of the State Championship trophy. I told Mommy that "Daddy's boys won the trophy." While waiting for breakfast to be cooked, Nana read the newspaper and when she opened the Sports section there was a picture of Daddy and Me. I was in Daddy's arms when he cut down the net and the photo made the paper! It was fun seeing Daddy and Me in the paper! Watching the game again was fun too! We are still celebrating and will continue as Daddy and his team get to pick out rings and plan the banquet. Vinnie Vinzetta asked Daddy to come back on his show tonight with the trophy to talk about the BIG game! Tomorrow Daddy has to take the trophy back to school and I am sure going to miss having it at our house. Congratulations again Daddy and thanks to everyone for all the support during the season!

Nana read the article to all of us

Daddy's team wins the State Championship!

Today was a big day in our family! Daddy's team played for the State Championship against Tempe at Jobing.com arena in Glendale. The game was at noon, which meant we needed to leave early so we got there with plenty of time. Daddy and his team went up last night. Allison and I were excited to ride together in Nana's car. We packed lots of snacks and even wore our pajamas in the morning. When we arrived at the arena, Allison and I dressed in our Amphi gear and then went to watch the dancing water. We had fun throwing "coinies" in the water and dancing. I slipped and got a boo-boo on my chin, but I didn't let that stop me from having fun! After dancing and cheering by the water it was time to cheer on Daddy's team. At one point in the game we were up by 25 points and Mommy and I knew we were going to win. Daddy's team played great! In fact, Daddy never used any of his timeouts in the game. At the end of the game Mommy and I were allowed on the court to greet Daddy and the team. There were lots of people besides Mommy shooting photos! It was fun to see the players and Daddy cut the net down and receive the 1st place trophy. This is Amphi's 1st basketball State Championship! We are so proud of Daddy and his boys. The game was broadcasted live on Fox Sports Arizona so we know that many people watched it on T.V. right before watching UofA vs. UCLA. After we left the arena, we continued our celebration at a nearby steakhouse. Daddy, Coach Marty, and one of their players each rode the mechanical bull. The restaurant played "We Are The Champions" as the players took their seats. The atmosphere was perfect. We drove home and Uncle Paul and Mommy went out with the coaches to celebrate while Nana, Nina Nina Dia and Me celebrated at home. What an amazing and fun day! Congratulations again to my Daddy and his awesome team! Enjoy the photos from our great day!

First we made a stop at the big water fountain. I couldn't wait to show Allison how to throw "coinies" in the fountain.

I decided I liked the music and started to perform on the bench. Mommy caught a few of my dance poses.

Celebrating Poppy's Birthday

Poppy's birthday was yesterday, but since we were at Daddy's game we celebrated his birthday tonight at our house. i wanted to play Super Caitlin and dressed up for Poppy's birthday. Allison and I had fun helping Poppy blow out his candles. We had so much fun that we did it twice! Everyone had a fun time, but we were bummed to watched the UofA basketball team lose. Thanks for all you do for us Poppy! We hope this year is a great one for you! You are the best Poppy!

Panthers Win!

Daddy's game didn't start until 8pm so we had a late night, but it was worth it! The Panthers beat Desert Edge and will play Tempe in the State Championship game on Saturday! Once again Daddy's team played awesome and came away with a great win! We had fun at the game as we got to see our cousins Joe, Jodi, Gracie, and Nolan. Gracie and I had fun eating all sorts of snacks while Nolan enjoyed being rocked to sleep by Nina Nina Dia. I can't wait to cheer on Daddy's team on Saturday! Way to go Panthers! One more win needed.......

Butterfly Banana Sandwich

Poppy's pancakes are one of my favorite breakfast treats. Today I added to my favorite's list when Poppy made me a special treat, a peanut butter, banana, butterfly sandwich. Poppy came over early this morning when Mommy had to be to work early. I cried when Mommy left for work and was very sad. Poppy made me this special breakfast treat and it turned my frown upside down. I was all smiles thanks to Poppy!

Thanks for the special treat Poppy!

Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day! I said this to everyone who came over today. I like the balloons, cards, and treats I received today. I told Mommy that everyone likes Valentine's Day because they brought me things. Mommy just smiled. We had dinner tonight with Nana, Poppy, Uncle Kenny, Aunt Stacie, and Allison at GG's house! GG loved having all of us over. After our yummy dinner and dessert we sat and played in GG's livingroom. GG's house was full of love today and it brought a great big smile to her face! Hope everyone felt the love like we did today!

Fox Sports Force features My Daddy

My Daddy's team is ranked #1 for the 4A-II division. This Tuesday starts the state playoffs. We are four wins away from the State Championship! Daddy's team is expected to win it all, but Daddy keeps level headed and has his team take one game at a time. Tonight Daddy was asked to be interviewed by Vinnie Vinzetta on Fox 11 Sports Force. Click here to see the interview. Mommy went with Daddy to the T.V. station to take photos. We sat in a conference room while waiting to be called into the studio. Vinnie brought Daddy the questions he would ask to review while we waited. The studio is quite small and Mommy says it was chilly. Daddy did great with his interview. I had fun watching Daddy on T.V. with Nana, Poppy, Grandpa, Uncle Paul, and Nina Nina Dia! Way to go Daddy!

I'm going to be.............

A BIG SISTER!!!!
Mommy and Daddy went to the doctor today and found out that there is a little baby growing in Mommy's belly. They came home after their appointment and told me about a little brother or little sister that was growing in Mommy's belly. I wasn't too sure at first, but soon realized there was a baby near Mommy's belly button. That was fun to me. After Mommy and Daddy showed me the ultrasound picture that resembled a jelly bean, I told everyone about the baby by explaining the picture. Since Mommy and Daddy told me the news, I kiss Mommy's belly and I talk to the baby. The baby is due in late September. I can't wait to be able to hold the baby!

Mommy and Daddy explaining that I would be a big sister. Allison listened as she was told she would soon be a big cousin.

Allison and I enjoyed a picnic lunch outside after learning the fun news!

Family Night for Daddy's Team

Tonight was Daddy's last home game for the regular basketball season. The parents and families walk out on the court to meet their players. Mommy and I walked out to meet Daddy. Daddy gave me a Caitlin sized basketball signed by the team. I didn't feel well all day and Mommy almost decided not to take me to the game, but I wanted to go. I had Mommy hold me almost the whole game which let everyone know I wasn't feeling well because I usually run laps around the gym during games. Mommy was sad that I didn't feel well, but happy that I made it to Daddy's game. After the game I ran around on the court barefoot with Allison and forgot that I was sick. Daddy finished his third straight season at home being undefeated at home. We are so proud of Daddy and can't wait to cheer him on in the state playoffs. Stay tuned to see how the Panthers do at State!

GG officially moved into her house next door today! Poppy and Grandpa have been working on her house for a couple of months now. Allison and I were so excited to grab our babies and strollers to walk next door and visit GG. We love playing at GG's house. We love the treats that GG gives us too! Having GG next door is going to be great! Welcome Home GG!
