Hooray for Daddy!

one of daddy's players, Ben, holds me in between games

Nina Nina Dia likes holding me during games

Melanie is my great grandma's neighbor and she likes holding me and makes over me while her son is playing for daddy

These pictures were taken of me while I watched daddy's team play four games tonight. I didn't want to nap during the day, but I behaved great at the games. I was definitely tired by the end of the last game. Going to daddy's games are fun because many people like holding me. Mommy likes it too because she gets a break. Daddy's team won 3 of their 4 games tonight and they are in the final four tomorrow. I am glad that June is over because that means my daddy is done with summer basketball and he and I will be able to play more.

Tummy time

I am liking tummy time a little more each day. Today I played on mommy and daddy's bed for tummy time. I also practiced rolling over. I still need some assistance to roll over, but I am trying hard to be able to do it by myself.

Who needs a nap?

my cute reaction to the question why I won't take a nap

I have been sleeping great during the nights. Mommy and daddy appreciate it, but they don't like that I don't care to take naps during the day. Mommy says that I am not like her because she loves naps. Today I only took a one hour nap. When mommy took a nap, daddy said that I only slept a total of 20 minutes for him. When mommy and daddy ask me why I don't nap, I just give them a cute smile and giggle. Mommy and daddy are accepting that they can't have the best of both worlds right now. Because I didn't nap much today, I went to sleep around 6:30. Mommy and daddy hope I still sleep through the night.

Laughing with mommy

This is a video clip of mommy and me having playtime. Mommy and I laughed together for about 20 minutes. I just couldn't help laugh when mommy would talk to me and play with me hands at the same time. Mommy and daddy say that my laugh is contagious and they will do anything to make me keep doing it.

The baby sleeps....

through the night! For the last four nights I have slept through the night. I am usually asleep in my crib around 8 and I have been waking up between 6 or 7 the next morning. Mommy and daddy are very happy and hope that this trend continues.

Beautiful summer sunset in Tucson

After a couple hours of rain, the sun came out and produced a beautiful sunset. Mommy and daddy had to take some pictures because they though the sky looked so neat.

Go panthers go!

Congratulating daddy on his two wins!

watching a game with daddy (check out my panther paw)

I went to watch Daddy's team play tonight and got caught in my first monsoon rain. As we drove to the game there were only a few sprinkles, but when we got to the gym, it was raining nice and hard. My grandpa and my Nina Nina Dia helped me get into the gym without a drop of rain touching me. I watched my daddy's team win both games. As you can see from the pictures, I was dressed in my panther gear.

Pretty toes!

I went with mommy today while she had a pedicure. I was the hit of the shop. I smiled and laughed the whole time. I thought it was funny to feel the vibrations of the massaging chair. I didn't get my toes done this time, but mommy says when I am older I can.

Tickle bug

This is a very short clip showing how I react when the tickle bug comes along. Mommy and daddy have longer clips, but the lighting is poor. I know the clip is short, but you should still be able to tell what I think of the tickle bug. Mommy says that I react the same way she did when she was little. Tickle bug is one of my favorite games to play lately.

3 months old

daddy helped me look at the flowers that my grandpa planted for me

I love the bright colors of flowers

I am 3 months old today. Mommy and daddy can't believe how much I have grown and changed. They say it seems like just yesterday that they brought me home from the hospital. I pay attention to my surroundings much more and interact more. Mommy and daddy love the little princess that I am!

Playing with Uncle Kenny and Aunt Stacie

I went for the first time today to Uncle Kenny and Aunt Stacie's house. They made dinner for mommy and they entertained me. I had fun bouncing on their laps. They have a doggy that I laughed at through the window. I am hoping that one day Uncle Kenny and Aunt Stacie will give me a little cousin.

Hands are useful

Lately I have been trying to grab at things and hold on a little more. Today I told mommy that she could rest while I held my own bottle. I don't do this at every feeding, but I am capable. It is fun finding out that my hands can do more than make a fist.

My first photo shoot

this was one of my casual shots

Our first family picture
Mommy and daddy took me today to have my first professional photo shoot. On the way to the mall, I got a little fussy which made mommy and daddy think that their idea wasn't at a good time for me. I proved them wrong. I smiled and giggled for the photographer. Mommy and daddy even snuck in a picture with me. Above are just two of the many photos that were taken.

Happy Father's Day

playing with my daddy

my two grandpas and my daddy

I was getting a little tired of all the picture taking

sitting on daddy and playing with my cow again

Happy Father's Day daddy! Today was a busy day. I went to church at 7am with my daddy and mommy. After church we went to breakfast with Grandpa, Nana, Uncle Kenny, and Nina Nina Dia. I behaved at church and didn't say a peep. I slept all through breakfast which was a treat for mommy and daddy. Later in the morning, I went to have my pictures taken at the mall. Mommy and daddy were a little nervous as I started to fuss in the car, but I was perfect during my photo shoot(some shots will be posted later). After my photo shoot it was off to Nana and Grandpa's house for dinner. I didn't get home until 8pm. Whew, what a fun-filled day!

Wild hair

After I take my bath, I like mommy and daddy to massage my head with a towel. I usually smile and talk to them about how good it feels. If they don't comb my hair afterwards, I have some pretty wild hair. Mommy and daddy can't wait to see if I will have curly hair like mommy. For now, they can't resist taking pictures of me with my crazy hair-do.

Holy cow!

I look asleep, but I was actually smiling and cooing at my cow

I introduced Aunt Stacie to my new friend

I have a new favorite toy lately. I have a cow which has basketball for hands. I like to hold onto the basketball and put the ears and nose of the cow in my mouth. When I start teething, the basketballs will come in handy. If the cow is near me, everything else around me doesn't phase me. Mommy and daddy love watching my expressions with my new favorite toy! If we leave the house, they make sure I have my cow with me.

Napping in my crib?????

Pictures of me sleeping for the first time in my crib

Until today, I sleep at night in my bassinet and will usually only take naps on someone's chest. Everyone has tried to get me to nap in my bassinet, but 30 minutes has been my maximum time. Today mommy thought she would try something different. After our morning walk I came home and played with mommy for a while. I ate and then fell fast asleep on mommy, which I love to do. Mommy decided to try me sleeping in my crib. Nana and mommy weren't sure how I would act. Much to their surprise I took a 2 hour nap in my crib! Mommy didn't know what to do without a sleeping baby on her. As you can see from the pictures above, I moved my arms in different positions to get comfortable as I enjoyed my afternoon nap. I have a feeling mommy is going to try this again tomorrow and see if she can fit this napping thing into my daily routine! I will keep you posted on how it goes.

My morning routine

my morning naptime is mommy's workout time

For the past three weeks I have been getting in a scheduled routine. I usually take a bath around 7 and am asleep in my bassinet around 8. Sometimes I am asleep a little later, but definitely by 9 I am down for the night. I have had a few nights where I have slept until 6 or 7 the next morning. Mommy and daddy appreciate those nights. Usually though I wake up a little hungry around 2 or 3 and then wake up for the day between 6 and 7. After I wake up, get dressed for the day, and eat, mommy and I go for a walk. Mommy was walking around Reid Park, but it is too hot for me, even at 7. Instead, mommy and I have become mall walkers. Nana comes with us too. Mommy walks four laps and I usually sleep. If I am awake, I like to look at all the store windows. Daddy doesn't mind us walking the mall as long as the stores are closed.

A weekend of basketball

June is a busy month for my daddy. He has games every Tuesday and Thursday and has three weekend tournaments. This weekend was the Arizona Team Camp tournament at the UofA. I went to cheer on my daddy's team. I focus on the game, but when I have had enough, I sleep on mommy. I only went to the day games because the night games were past my bedtime.

Checking my blog

I always tell mommy what to type for me on the blog. Today I had her show me the blog so I could see if mommy was following my instructions. Everything looked alright to me.

Talking to pooh bear

Mommy has a basketball and a pooh bear on my carrier to help entertain me. I love to smile at them and have started to want to talk to them. Soon I will start hitting them and playing with them too. This is also mommy's first attempt to put a video clip of me on the blog.

Daddy's smallest fan

Being a fan is tiring

Bouncing balls and referee whistles put me to sleep

My first team talk with daddy

My first huddle break with daddy's team

Me and my favorite coach
My daddy's team plays games on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I went to my first basketball game last Thursday with mommy, but she couldn't take any pictures because she held me the whole time. All the parents are impressed that I didn't say a peep during 2 whole games! Today I went to 2 games again with mommy, nana, and grandpa. I behaved very well and all of the noises of the game didn't seem to bother me. Mommy thinks it is because I went to so many basketball games when she was pregnant with me.

Can you say elephant?

The first day that mommy put me in my rocker she explained to me that I was looking at elephants. She asked me if I could say elephant and I responded with my version of elephant. Mommy and daddy ask me daily now about elephants and I often respond to them with my version. Everytime mommy puts me in my rocker, I say "ele pha" at least once. Mommy and daddy think it's cute!

Thank goodness it is June

May was a busy month for me. I attended many celebrations. I have received the nickname of "party girl" and my mommy says that I am taking after her at a very early age. Every weekend I went to at least one party. I attended a first holy communion, three graduation parties, Mother's day brunch, my baptism, and an engagement party. I also celebrated my parent's anniversary and my Nana's birthday. My mommy and daddy went to two weddings this month too! As you can see, May was a busy month. Since I have been so busy, I haven't wanted to take my afternoon naps, but mommy and daddy seem to like the trade off of me wanting to sleep long hours during the night. We'll just have to see if I continue this in the month of June.
