Fun with green beans!

Today I tried something new, green beans. I made a few faces at first, but then I decided that I kind of liked this new green food. I really liked it when I got a hold of the spoon and started to feed myself. Mommy and Daddy thought it was cute that I took the spoon and knew exactly what to do with it. Mommy and Daddy are happy that I am liking my veggies! Below is a little video clip of me tonight. You can see that I found out the spoon feels good on my gums too!

Getting ready for dinner

When it's feeding time, Mommy and Daddy play it safe and allow my bib to act as my clothing. Tonight as Mommy and Daddy were getting me ready for dinner I decided that I would show them how I know what to do. This is something I have been doing for a couple of days now. I do my best to help Mommy and Daddy undress me or get me dressed. Mommy says she just has to teach me how to not leave my clothes on the floor:).

Good Morning Sunshine!

I am such a happy baby when I wake up in the morning. Mommy tried to get a good picture of me, but I always seem to make it hard for her. Today, I didn't wake up until 9:15am. I went to bed late last night (10pm) after a very long day. Yesterday I went to a memorial service with Mommy and a reception, then we went shopping and bought my Halloween costume. To top off my day we went to Daddy's basketball team's game. Mommy says that I was perfect yesterday and after sleeping in today she had no complaints!

Playing with Nina Nina

My Nina Nina came over today and had fun playing with me. She loved seeing me sit next to her on the couch. I like when my Nina Nina sings silly songs to me to make me laugh. It is so much fun having so many playmates!

Staying focused

While playing with Mommy today, Mommy decided to put on my First Sounds Baby Einstein DVD. Mommy was amazed at how well I sat up and was paying attention to the movie. I would react and smile whenever a baby came on the screen. I am starting to make lots of different sounds lately and some of them are the same sounds that the puppets make.

Can you find me?

Can you find me in the picture? Daddy and I were playing with my blocks today and I was having too much fun. I like to be covered in the blocks and then start laughing. Mommy and Daddy love how playful I am.

Football Madness

Tonight my Daddy's football team played my Uncle Paul's team. Everyone came over to our house to watch the game. Daddy and Uncle Paul tried to get me to root for their team. I didn't choose either team and instead am focusing on my fantasy football team that my Mommy helps me run. So far my team is 2-1.

This picture was taken right before bedtime.

Sweet Potatoes!

Today I got to taste my first solid food, sweet potatoes. Mommy put some on her finger first before trying a spoon. I made some cute faces when I tasted the sweet potatoes. Mommy and Daddy say that I will be tasting these for a few days before I get to taste green beans! I will keep you posted on the tastes that I like most.
I'm ready for some food!

Messy faces are so cute!

Mommy, your finger tastes a little different

My initial reaction to drinking water

I tried drinking water for the first time today. You can tell by my pictures that I really didn't care for it. I did drink more of it through the bottle than the sippy cup. I thought it was more fun to play with the sippy cup than drink from it. Mommy and Daddy had me try it today because I wasn't feeling too well and I didn't care to eat too much today. Mommy and Daddy didn't want me to get dehydrated. Luckily, after a little Tylenol and two really long naps I seemed to be almost back to my normal, playful self. Mommy and Daddy think I just didn't feel well because of the shots I got yesterday.

6 months old

Playing with my new phone while Mommy gets ready for work today

Reading my new book with my Nina before going to bed tonight

I am 6 months old today! Mommy and Daddy feel like I was just born yesterday. They can't believe how quickly time has gone by. I had a great day today. I went for my 6 month check up today and met my new pediatrician. Mommy loves my new pediatrician's office. The nurse made over me right from the start and the doctor was excellent to me. It's a long story why Mommy switched doctor's, but believe me my new doctor is much better. My 6 month stats are:

Height: 26.25 inches
Weight: 17.2 lbs.

I am in the 75th percentile for height and weight. The doctor said I am well proportioned and am looking good for my age:). When I left the doctor's office, my doctor asked me to sit down and pick out a book. I sat up all by myself and picked out a book about colors. Mommy thought that was neat and it made her like the doctor even more. My nurse today did a good job with my shots. I turned red and cried very little when I was given the shot. By the time Mommy picked me up and we left the room, I was smiling and laughing at the nurse. I was happy all day today, except for a short time in the evening. Mommy and Daddy are proud of how well I did today!

A bib is good for playing....

Look, I took my bib off!

I see you!

Where did you go?

There you are!

... peek-a-boo. I am starting to imitate how Mommy and Daddy play peek-a-boo. Today I discovered that if I pulled hard enough, I can take off my bib and use it to play peek-a-boo. Mommy and Daddy loved how entertained I was with my bib. I had so much fun covering my face, or at least part of it, and then putting the bib down and smiling at whoever was in front of me. Nana told Mommy that I was doing the same thing earlier today with a blanket. Maybe someone will catch it on video soon.

Good Grip

Am I pulling too hard Daddy?

Whoa! You make me laugh Daddy!

I really like pulling hair these days! It doesn't mattter if the hair is long or short, I have a great grip for either length. Sometimes I reach and pull my own hair, but pulling others' hair is more fun. Mommy's hair is fun to pull because when I let go it bounces back. Tonight Daddy and I were playing and I decided to show him how easy his hair is to pull. I was smiling the whole time I was pulling his hair. When I finally let go, I started to fall backwards and laugh. I am getting good at sitting up though and stopped myself from falling all the way back! Mommy and Daddy will be excited when hair doesn't interest me anymore.

I am going to be..........

a Big Cousin! Aunt Stacie and Uncle Kenny are expecting a baby! I was able to go with them today to see the first sonogram. Mommy was rather jealous that she didn't get to go. Mommy can't wait to be an Aunt and I can't wait for my new playmate to arrive. My new cousin is scheduled to arrive on April 29th. I will keep you posted on my new cousin's progress. Congratulations Aunt Stacie and Uncle Kenny!

Just Floating Around

The days are still pretty warm in Tucson which means it's nice to go swimming and cool off. Mommy and Daddy tried out my turtle raft today. I liked that it had a place for me to have some of my toys to play with and it had a little canopy to help keep me in the shade. Mommy and Daddy had fun having me kick in the water. I liked being able to float all around. I love being in the water!

Block Party

So many blocks!

Maybe I can try and pick all of these blocks up at once!

This block tastes good!

Meet my new friend Eeyore

Do you know what letter this is Eeyore?

Mommy, Daddy, and Nana have really been working on having me practice sitting up. I am getting pretty good. I can sit up for a good minute or two before following over, usually on my tummy. I like sitting up to play. This morning, Mommy thought she would see how I liked playing with my foam blocks. She is excited for me to play with them as they have numbers, letters, and pictures on them. The letters include the Spanish alphabet to help me learn Spanish! Mommy thought it was so cute that while I was playing I rolled on my tummy and realized I was face to face with Eeyore. I tried to show Eeyore the blocks and made noises at him, but Eeyore just kept the same face the whole time. I can't wait for the next block party!

Happy Birthday Grandma Edie!

We hope you have a wonderful day and a fantastic year! I had fun at lunch with you yesterday! Thanks for letting me try to help you open your cards!

So cute in red and blue!

I could be a mascot like Wilbur!

Thanks Nina Nina Dia for the outfit!

Oh so cute and playful!

Mommy and Daddy love to dress me for every occasion. Today it was time to watch the UA football game on T.V. Mommy decided to surprise everyone by dressing me in my UA polo shirt and overalls. Daddy said I looked adorable in my outfit. A big thanks to my Nina Nina Dia who bought it for me. I am sure I will be wearing it again soon before I grow out of it. Now if only wearing red and blue would help the football team!

Happy 1st Grandparents' Day!

I have the best grandparents in the world. I was lucky to be able to celebrate today with my Great Granny, Nana, Papa, Grandma Edie and Grandpa Corkey. Everyone came to my house for pizza and we watched the Sunday Night Football game. Thanks for loving me so much!

A BIG Weekend!

Papa had fun reading to me before bedtime.

I met the Spencer family on Saturday at Nana's and Papa's. The Spencers had fun watching me smile and be playful.

Aunt Stacie and Uncle Kenny had fun playing with me. Yes, I am playing on Nana's dining room table!

My Ninos love taking care of me.

This was a big weekend for me and my parents. Mommy and Daddy went to Palm Springs for Daddy's basketball conference and I stayed over at my Nana and Papa's house. Mommy and Daddy took me over to Nana and Papa's on Friday morning. Mommy had a much harder time saying goodbye to me than I did to her. In fact, Mommy cried when she left me. Nana told her everything would be fine and it was. I played at Nana's all day on Friday. Friday night, Aunt Stacie and Uncle Kenny babysat me while Nana and Papa went dancing. I only woke up once in the night on Friday night. Saturday I played for awhile at Nana and Papa's, but in the afternoon I went to my house where my Ninos babysat me while Nana and Papa went to the UA football game. My Ninos had fun playing with me and even gave me a bath, which was of course fun! My Nana picked me up after the game and took me back to her house. I then slept until 7:30 this morning. Nana said I behaved perfectly. Mommy and Daddy are so thankful for all the help they have. Mommy and Daddy said they had fun in Palm Springs. Mommy and Daddy were very excited to come home today and pick me up.

Happy Birthday Grandpa Corkey!

I like sitting on Grandpa's lap!

I love showing off!

Hope you enjoyed your cake Grandpa!

Happy Birthday Grandpa. We celebrated last night with dinner and cake at our house. I had so much fun smiling at everyone who came over. I even put on a performace so that everybody could see how good I am a closing the blinds. I fell asleep before the cake was served, but Mommy and Daddy tell me it tasted good! I hope Grandpa has a great day!

Closing the blinds

Mommy and Daddy found a new way for me to be a helper. I love to help open and close the blinds in the house. Usually Daddy and I open all the blinds in the morning together. Tonight Mommy captured me helping Daddy close the blinds. It's fun being a little helper!

If I can reach it, I can bite it!

Mommy and Daddy are certain that my teeth are working their way through. I am a drooling princess and I love to try and soothe my gums with anything that I can bite down on. The sun on my jumper is tops on my list for helping soothe my gums. Today when I was playing as soon as I would put the sun in my mouth I started making the cutest noises. Mommy said it sounded like I was singing. Of course when I knew Mommy had turned the camera on, I stopped singing. Mommy was able to capture some cute snapshots with the sun in my mouth!
