I love my crib

This morning when Mommy woke up this is how she found me sleeping in my crib and she couldn't resist taking a picture. When Mommy took the bumper pads off she was worried that I would injure myself since I move all around the crib in my sleep, but all I really try and do is stick my limbs out the bars occasionally. Today I was giving my crib a hug:)

Sitting in my Bumbo (my 100th entry)

Mommy and Daddy put me in my Bumbo chair for the first time today. I loved being able to sit up with someone holding me. I also thought it was fun to play with my toys and then drop them for someone else to pick up. Mommy and Daddy took the Bumbo to Nana's tonight when we went for dinner. I was sitting in the Bumbo playing with Nana and started laughing out loud, so Daddy caught some of it on video. Mommy and Daddy are excited that I have another way of being entertained that allows them to have their hands free.

Congratulations Papa!

Today I went to a special ceremony for my Papa Ken. He became a Grand Knight for the Knights of Columbus. While at church, I met Mark, the son of Nana and Papa's friends. He is 13 months old. While our mommies held us we would just look at each other. A couple of times, Mark reached out his hand to me. I just smiled at him.

Taking a swim in my own pool

I woke up feeling pretty good today, which made Mommy and Daddy pretty happy. It has been hot and humid lately. Today Mommy and Daddy decided that all of us should take a little swim to help cool off. This was the first time I had been in my pool in my backyard. I really didn't care that Mommy and Daddy put me in the pool. Mommy and Daddy are glad that I seem to like the water. Maybe someday I'll be on a swim team like Mommy.

Weekly visit from my Ninos

trying to give my Nina a kiss(a sloppy one)

Nino Joe put me to sleep with ease

My Nina Karen and Nino Joe come to visit me once a week. Sometimes they come and give Mommy and Daddy a chance to run some errands. Other times they come and bring dinner. Mommy and Daddy appreciate their weekly visits. Today when they came I still wasn't feeling 100% from my shots. I ran my first fever Monday night and have not been myself the past few days. Even though I wasn't 100%, I was still quite playful with my Ninos. After playing, Nina Karen helped me take my bath and Nino Joe rocked me to sleep after we all played.

Four month check up

I had my four month check up today, which also meant another round of shots. I am still trying to get back to my routine after traveling all day yesterday so I was a little cranky going to the doctor's office. I did fine with my shots. I cried a little, but Daddy and Mommy were there to soothe me right away. The doctor says that I am doing great and I am a healthy little one. Below are my newest stats:

Weight: 14 lbs. 4 oz (9 lbs. 14 oz - 5/5/08)

Height: 24.5 inches (22 inches - 5/5/08)

Home sweet home

My last picture in San Diego before getting into the car for our long ride home

We made it home today from our trip to San Diego. I did great for my first road trip! Read the posts below to find out what I did each day. I had a great time and did better than Mommy and Daddy thought I would.

Last relaxing day in San Diego

I helped Mommy play cards and we won!

I wasn't so sure about Nana's cards

Aunt Stacie's cards made me cry they were so bad

I had fun knocking over Aunt Stacie's chips

I like storytime

Today was our last day in San Diego so we spent the day relaxing. Mommy, Aunt Stacie, Nana, Nina Nina Dia, and Uncle Paul played cards and I tried to play too. Aunt Stacie also took time to read my new zoo book to me. I needed a day to relaz after such a busy day yesterday!

Seaport Village Carousel

I rode on another elephant

When Mommy put me on the ride, I tried to grab the pole without Mommy helping me

I rode part of the time with Daddy on a horse

To end the day, we stopped at Seaport Village on the way home so that I could ride on a real carousel. The lights, mirrors, and music were a lot for me to take in. I cried a little as the carousel started moving, but then I settled down and ended up enjoying the ride. I was exhausted after this as I had been out for 11 hours. I must say this was a busy day, but I didn't fuss at all and everyone was amazed at how well I handled the day of excitement!

All Aboard!!!

There is a minature train outside of the zoo that Mommy thought it would be fun for me to ride. My Nina Nina Dia LOVES trains and was excited to ride with us. I did really well on the ride until we went through a dark tunnel and the train whistle blew. As the ride ended I was smiling again. The train had different stuffed animals and I really was focused on the giraffe so that is where we sat.

Meeting another Caitlin

Same name, same colored hat, and we both have an Uncle Kenny

Me and my Aunt Stacie

While I was at the zoo, I met another girl named Caitlin. She spelled her named differently and was a little older than me, but we were both amused with each other. We both were wearing pink hats and we found out that we both have an Uncle Kenny. I thought that was pretty neat!

Second time on the carousel

I rode the carousel the first time on an elephant with Mommy's help. I rode it for a second time

on a lion with Daddy's help. I liked the ride. Some people nearby asked if they could take my picture because they thought I was so cute on the ride. Mommy and Daddy said it would be okay.

Rides at the zoo

Daddy held on to me tight while on the baskets

I was talking during the picture on the baskets

I was holding onto the handles!

I wasn't so sure about the ride, but I didn't cry!

I went on many rides at the zoo today. My first ride were the safari baskets that take us from one end of the zoo to the other. I liked being high in the air. I also rode the kiddie carousel for the first time. Mommy held me while I held on. I rode an elephant:).

Can you find the polar bear in the picture?

My foot is a little smaller than the Sun Bear's foot

I was very quiet during the Panda visit.

Today was a great day! We all went to the San Diego Zoo. It was my first time and it was my grandpa's and Uncle Paul's first time too. I behaved really well. I went on the bus ride and just
looked around at everything. I think I looked more at some of the beautiful plants and flowers, but I saw animals too. I slept during the time when we went through the children's zoo. It was a busy day for me, but I had a great time.

Lunch with Grandma Dee

That is the biggest boat Mommy and I have ever seen moving in the water!

I was pretty tired after lunch!

Mommy, Nana, and I went to lunch today with Grandma Dee. Mommy used to work with Grandma Dee and has always called her that. Grandma Dee lives in a beautiful condo on Coronado Island half the year and lives in Tucson the other part of the year. While at lunch, a large battleship passed by in the bay.

Lunch and shopping in Old Town

Yeah, Aunt Stacie is here!

Nana pushing me in Old Town

I like laughing!

What are you doing in my stroller moo cow?

I threw my hat on the ground right as the picture was being taken

My favorite Aunt Stacie joined us today! We ate lunch at Rockin' Baja in Old Town and then walked around and went into the different shops. I had fun riding in my stroller without the carseat. I was having so much fun that Mommy and Aunt Stacie took lots of pictures of me making different gestures in my stroller.

First time wearing shoes!

Mommy and Daddy bought me my first pair of shoes and I wore them for the first time today. Mommy and Daddy made sure my shoes and my outfit and my hat were matching and of course Mommy made sure the outfit had pooh bear. I didn't mind wearing the shoes and I only kicked them off once at lunch!

Crazy sleep habits

I've got talent!

Did someone say toga party?

While in San Diego I did some silly things while sleeping and Mommy and Daddy couldn't resist taking pictures. I slept for part of a nap holding on to my foot. Mommy and Daddy couldn't believe I wouldn't let it go. I also like to get out of my swaddle by myself and make it into a toga. When Mommy asked me about it, I just gave her lots of smiles and giggles.
