Congratulations Melisa and Jeff!

Melisa, Jeff, and me(it was past my bedtime)
Daddy and me hanging together at the party

Melisa and Jeff are mommy and daddy's friends who are engaged! We went to their engagement party tonight. They plan to get married next March, right after my 1st birthday. There was another baby at the party who was born the day after me.

Saturday afternoon with Daddy

Watching TV with daddy

Flying is fun!

I like weekends when I can play with daddy. Today we watched the UA softball game. Unfortunately we lost. I like to watch tv with my daddy. I also like when my daddy helps me fly through the air.

A crazy day in May

Rainy weather is good sleeping weather!
I am not too sure about wearing the hood!

Who would have thought that I would be able to wear a sweatsuit in May? When I woke up this morning it was cold and rainy out. In the beginning of the week the temperature was in the 100s, but not today. Mommy took me to school with her this morning. Today was mommy's last day, which means that she will be home with me now until August!

My Baptism

My Nino Joe and Nina Karen

Look at all my bling!

I was baptized today in a private ceremony at St. Pius. My godparents are Nino Joe and Nina Karen. I behaved like an angel according to my Ninos. I cried when the water was poured on my head, but it was because the water was very cold. My baptismal gown is special because my grandpa, my Uncle Ken, and my mommy were all baptized in it. When I got home from the church I also wore another baptismal dress the my mommy wore at her baptism party. In the picture above I am wearing a necklace that my Ninos gave me. The baby bracelet was given to me by my Nana and Tata. The ring I am wearing was my mommy's ring. My mommy's great aunt gave it to her when she was baptized. The ring has been passed down through the family and is over a hundred years old.

Helping mommy clean

Mommy decided to try out the baby bjorn today. This was the first time mommy had tried it. I didn't fuss when mommy put me in it so she decided to see if we could vacuum together. Much to everyone's surprise the vacuuming didn't bother me and instead it put me to sleep. I told mommy that in a few years I will do the vacuuming while she takes a nap!

Viva Mariachi!

Mariachis, my Nana, Nina Ninas, and me
Mommy and daddy seem to have a celebration to go to every weekend this month! Today I went to a graduation party and listened to live Mariachi music. I slept through much of it, even the loud trumpets! Mommy and daddy danced with me to the music and they said I just smiled!

Happy Mother's Day!

All of the ladies in the family at brunch

Me with my mommy, my nana, and my nina ninas

Me with my mommy, nana, and grandma(I was getting hungry and didn't care to smile)

Happy Mother's day to my mommy and all the other ladies in the family who take care of me and love me. Happy Mother's day to my Auntie Amy in Virginia too. Mommy and Auntie Amy celebrated their first mommy's day today. I behaved perfectly today! In church, I was so quiet no one knew there was a baby. I even slept during breakfast and brunch! Mommy was very impressed and appreciative! Mommy says that I am the best gift ever!

Meeting my Cousin Tony

I met my mommy's cousin Tony today! He had fun holding me and smiling with me. I can't wait to play with him again.

My grandpas/lumberjacks

Before picture

Timber!

My grandpas love to do projects together. This week they tackled the two Italian Cyprus trees in front of our house. The trees were so tall that when they cut them down, the trees almost reached the curb of the house across the street. There are a lot of big black birds that make crazy noises who like to live in the trees. Mommy and daddy are happy that the trees are gone and they say the front yard looks much nicer. I helped supervise the project and would go outside every once in awhile to babble with my grandpas.

It's Cinco de Mayo - time for shots!

Today I received my first set of shots. Mommy was worried that I would cry a lot and she thought for sure she would cry too. Much to everyone's surprise, I cried very little and mommy didn't cry at all. The doctor said that I am a very healthy baby. Below are my new stats compared to my birth stats.

Weight - 9lbs. 14oz. (3/19 - 6lbs. 14oz.)
Height - 22 in. (3/19 - 19 in.)

Little Pooh Bear

Mommy's favorite pooh bear

After taking a bath, mommy and daddy put a little hat on my head to stay warm. Mommy couldn't resist putting this hat on me.

Quiet Sunday morning

On Sundays, mommy, daddy, and I like to take it easy. After daddy fed me in the morning, I fell asleep for a morning nap on him. Mommy couldn't resist taking such a sweet picture.

Congratulations Angelica!

My friend Angelica made her First Holy Communion on Saturday. I went to her party and behaved like an angel. Mommy and daddy were shocked that I slept in my carseat for 2 and a half hours before waking up. Everyone at the party kept talking to me and looking at me, but I just kept sleeping. When I woke up I couldn't stop smiling. After mommy fed me, I went right back to sleep and even slept a little after we got home.

Our little burrito

Mommy and daddy say that I look like a little burrito when they swaddle me at night. In the pictures above I had just taken a bath so I was nice and comfy. I like my daddy to rock me after he swaddles me.

Talking to animals

I used to like to just sit in the swing and would focus off to one side. Now I like to sit in the swing and talk to the birdies and the butterflies. Mommy tried getting this on video too, but I never seem to talk when she turns the video on. Guess mommy will have to be more sly. Mommy and daddy say I look much bigger now in the swing.
