Daddy and daughter time

When my daddy gets home from work, I like to sit with him and talk about the day. Sometime soon, mommy will try to video our conversation. I usually talk to daddy while mommy gets dinner ready.

Why sleep in a bassinet?

I am always happy sleeping on mommy and daddy. Lately, I don't care to sleep in my bassinet for very long and would rather just sleep on someone's chest. Mommy and daddy tend to take a little nap with me when I sleep on them.

Blast to the past

When I go to my nana's to visit, she likes to have everything I need to make me feel comfortable. She still has the bassinet that my mommy and uncle slept in when they were babies. I like to lay in it and look at all the colorful flowers in the popular colors from the 70s. Although I like laying in it, no one can get me to sleep in it just yet.

Smiles for everyone

I am starting to smile a lot more now. I smile a lot in the morning after mommy changes me and dresses me for the day. In this picture I was smiling and playing with my nana.

Rub a dub dub

Bath time is something I really enjoy. Mommy and daddy often think I am going to start crying, but I don't. I like to stick my two feet in the water and everyone thinks it's cute. The best part about bath time is that mommy and daddy say it calms me down for the bedtime.

A night with nana and papa

Thanks to my nana and papa babysitting me for a few hours, daddy took mommy out on a date. Nana and papa said I behaved perfectly. Papa had lots of fun watching me play and took lots of pictures of me. I was sleeping when my parents got home and I only woke them up once during the night.

One of my favorite pastimes

My favorite Aunt Stacie loves to come over and cuddle with me on the couch. Aunt Stacie and I usually talk about the day together and then we take a nap together. Thanks to Aunt Stacie, mommy and daddy get a little break in the evening.

Visiting mommy's school

Mommy took me to her school today. I met many of her colleagues and even some of her students. Mommy says that I behaved very well at school. Everyone at mommy's school thinks that I look like my nana. When I got home from my visit I ate and then I took a nice long nap because going to school made me tired. Mommy says she likes to take a nap too when she gets home from working at her school.

Happy Birthday Mommy!

Today is my mommy's birthday. I behaved perfectly all day for mom as a present. Everyone came over for dinner and cake for mommy. This was my third birthday party that I have attended in two weeks. This year I can only smell the cake, but mommy and daddy tell me that next year I can taste it too.

My first Easter Bunny

Right now the bunny is good for propping me up, but soon I will play with it.

I was born a few days before Easter and my Nina Dia went and bought me a Ballerina Easter Bunny. The bunny was a hit at the hospital, at least that is what my parents tell me. Mommy and Nana decided to take some pictures with me next to the bunny. I just stared at the bunny, smiled, and tried to "talk" to it.

Happy Birthday Uncle Kenny

Today is my Uncle Kenny's Birthday. I spent much of the day with him. He got to see me take my first tub bath. After my bath he held me and I didn't fuss at all. I was very relaxed after my bath. Mommy dressed me up for the occasion with a dress that was a little too big, but she said I still looked precious. We went to nana and grandpa's for Uncle Kenny's birthday dinner. This is my second birthday party this month!

Future Gym Rat

My mommy and daddy are anxious to get me into the gym. They decided to try out my little ocean wonders play gym. There is a ball that I like to hit every once and awhile. Mommy and daddy say that I am practicing spiking the volleyball when I hit it. For now I just look at the toys of the gym, but soon I will be playing with them.

Most of you know that my daddy is a basketball coach. I watch lots of games with him on T.V. My family has a basketball pool every year and they tell me that next year I will get to be in the pool because I will be able to pick my teams by the mascots that I like. Daddy wanted the Jayhawks to win on Monday night for the championship game. He had to tell me how the game went when it was all over because I slept through the whole game across my daddy's chest. This is a very comfortable position for me, but mommy and daddy think it looks a little uncomfortable.

Today I went to visit my Nina Karen and my Nino Joe at their house. They were so excited that their house was the first house I had been to besides my own. Mommy liked it because she got to get out of the house for a little while. They tell me I behaved very well. My Nino Joe held me for the first time and fed me my bottle. My Nina Karen burped me and let me sleep in her arms the rest of the time. My ninos have a dog that was a little jealous of me at first, but by the end of my visit he was okay with me.

My Aunt Christina from Virginia sent me my papasan swing. Mommy and daddy couldn't wait for me to try it out. At first I seemed rather small in the swing. Each day mommy puts me in the swing for a little while and I like it more and more. I am also growing so I don't look as small in it.

Coach Marty wanted to take me home

Today was a busy day for me. I went to my daddy's school and took him and his friends lunch for his brithday. I finally got to meet daddy's friend, Coach Marty. Coach Marty liked holding me, burping me, and even said he wanted to take me home with him. My Nana and Papa cooked dinner for my daddy and we had a little party. I can't wait to be able to taste birthday cake!
