We left very early this morning for our San Diego vacation. When Mommy and Daddy came in to wake me, I surprised them by sitting up in my bed. I immediately said to them, "Mommy, Daddy go to beach see
Shamu, see sharks." Mommy and Daddy knew I was ready and soon after we were off! Uncle Paul,
Grandpa, and Nina Nina
Dia went with us too. My Nina Karen and
Nino Joe will meet us on Sunday. I did great on our rode trip! I slept, talked, sang songs, and watched movies. We usually drive and eat breakfast in Yuma, but we did things a little different this time. My Nana and Poppy were in San Diego the week before us and they are coming home today. When we get home from San Diego they will leave for Alaska for two weeks. Nana and I aren't used to being apart for so long so we decided to meet Nana and Poppy on our way to San Diego. We met at the Golden Acorn Casino which is about 60 miles outside of San Diego. I was so excited to see Nana and Poppy! After eating a yummy breakfast where I ordered pancakes all by myself, we drove into San Diego to our condo. We were able to check in early which is always nice. The moment we stepped into the condo I began exploring. I loved being able to see the beach and watch the people. I quickly had Daddy open my princess chair and set it near the window to relax and watch what was happening on the beach below. Later in the afternoon, we went down to the beach. As soon as my feet touched the sand, I took off my shoes and went running towards the ocean! I love the beach! I had fun running away from the cold water too! I can't wait for what this vacation has in store for us! Stay tuned and enjoy the photos from our 1st day of vacation!

What's better than playing cards by the window while listening to the sounds of the ocean?
You're interrupting my play and relaxation time Mommy
My view while playing cards. I could get used to this.
